Account Manager / Sales Representative
Civitas is seeking a full-time Account Manager / Sales Representative to report to the CEO.  Civitas is a legal and consulting firm specializing in formation and renewal of property and business improvement districts.  Over fifteen years, Civitas has worked with nearly 100 districts throughout California, and is now expanding nationally and internationally.  The Account Manager / Sales Representative will be responsible for managing existing projects and working with potential clients in various locations throughout Northern and Central California.

The position requires:
  • The ability to work with a team, share communication, and ensure open communication;
  • The ability to anticipate potential problems and challenges with projects and identify solutions;
  • The ability to prioritize, track, and work multiple projects with various deadlines, with minimal supervision; and
  • The ability to learn and explain complex legal procedures and requirements.
Key responsibilities include:
  • Manage new and existing projects and ensure deadlines are met;
  • Simultaneously manage multiple projects, each with multiple deadlines;
  • Coordinate district formation efforts with clients, government officials, district stakeholders, co-workers and others;
  • Work existing leads, including telephone, in-person and written communications;
  • Make and follow-up on sales presentations to potential clients, including government officials and staff;
  • Submit proposals and track progress on potential clients; and
  • Attend and make presentations at government hearings on projects.
The ideal candidate will have a professional demeanor and be able to independently prioritize multiple projects and deadlines with minimal supervision.  Previous experience with business improvement districts, or in the legal or sales fields, is preferred.  A bachelor's degree is required. 

Compensation: Base salary DOE plus commission; medical, dental and vacation after 90 days.
